Prostate cancer treatment

A new herbal therapy - to replace the old?

I am the first man in Britain to be given the Pfeifer protocol of
phytotherapy and immune support in a study being carried out
by Professor Tim Oliver, oncologist and prostate cancer
specialist at St Barts & Royal London Hospital Trust. When we
gave the treatment details, he set up a study with the aim of
going on to a full clinical trial.

The protocol was developed by Professor Ben Pfeifer, a
medical doctor, urologist and cancer therapist with 30 years’
experience in the United States and at the Aeskulap Cancer
Centre in Switzerland.

Four products combine to fight prostate cancer and support the
body's healing process. These natural and herbal substances
are classed as nutritional supplements available for anyone to
purchase.

Imupros - vitamins C,E and D3, zinc, calcium and selenium,
ginseng, lycopene and green tea - replenishes depleted
vitamins and minerals in the body and aids prostate function,
helping to create a healthy environment

Circumin Complex - based on turmeric root with anti-oxidants
- reduces inflammation and kills off cancer cells by depriving
them of the blood they need to thrive

ProstaSol - a mix of 9 herbal substances that suppress cancer
cells, relieve pain and promote prostate health. Includes Beta
Sitosterol, other sitosterols and
phytoeostrogens - plant-based
oestrogens that allow the body to regulate its hormone needs.
Even when they create a temporary drop in testosterone levels,
these do not cause impotence.

Biobran - derived from rice bran, using an enzyme of the
shitake mushroom to create the substance MGN3 - is a
powerful immune system booster that activates the body’s own
NK (natural killer) cells so that they can fight cancer.

Professor Pfeifer reports a
65% long-term success rate on
hormone refractory patients. Some reduced PSA from 1,000
plus to below one in trials in Switzerland, Germany and the
Netherlands.

My start PSA level was 40, and was doubling every month. After
2 weeks on the protocol, it was 20 and after a month was 11.
Now, it's been stable at 7-8 for 3 months. My white blood cell
count and haemoglobin have risen, my urine flow is stronger
and my need less frequent and urgent.

I have had breast tenderness but, although my testosterone is
very low, I am not impotent. My dosage of ProstaSol reduces
monthly and I'm told that symptoms will normalise and
testosterone will rise when I reach maintenance level.

Professor Pfeifer offers direct advice to doctors whose patients
use the protocol. Some GPs in Britain are already prescribing
Biobran. Urologists and oncologists may soon have patients
who are buying all these products and asking for medical
monitoring and guidance.
